Hello again everyone, and welcome to my Weekly Update #4. It’s been a long and tiring week, but very rewarding nonetheless. Also, I’ve been hooked up with a particular PSP game for the past week. And oh, I bought some new toys.

Check ‘em all out after the jump.
Music
Makiling has been working hard this week as we recorded for three days straight at Wombwork’s Studios (owned by Razorback’s Louie Talan). We recorded the whole soundtrack for Pista production featuring Ballet Manila and Lisa Macuja. I blogged about this during my Weekly Update #2. It’s not an easy feat to record and finish 29 full tracks in just three days, but I’m glad we pulled it off.
Makiling band has been hired by Ballet Manila to perform the same music during the first 10 shows of the production. For the rest of the shows, they will be using our recording.
Building my Home Recording Studio and my New Toys
As I mentioned in my previous Weekly Update, I’m preparing my room to be converted to a private recording studio, so naturally I’m buying the necessary equipment as well. Do take note that this studio will be for my own personal use only and will not be for rent.
For starters, I bought myself a simple set of sound equipment in the form of the Altec Lansing VS4121. It’s good enough for private use, it has crisp clear treble and mid sounds while the bass sounds really amazing.

Lately, my hard drive has become cluttered with my growing collection of downloaded TV series and movies, so I bought myself a 160gig external hard drive from Western Digital. It’s really a very convenient device, now I have so much space in my internal hard drive I’d do good with it for a while.

Gaming
I’ve been so hooked with playing Valkyrie Profiles: Lenneth for the PSP. I missed this one back on the PSone so I only discovered it just now. At first, the game didn’t start amaze me so I just stored it in my memory stick for a while. After getting so much God of War, I finally decided to start playing Profiles. It wasn’t until I played the first battle when I realized that the game was so much fun! And the rest is history.
I haven’t beaten the game yet but with the way I play RPGs, I’m sure to replay this game more than once.
Cosplay
Animator and fellow-Frost Joker Edwin Guillermo dropped by Makiling’s gig last night at 70’s Bistro and we sat down during our break to discuss more details of our cosplay skit for Level Up Live 2008. And I must say that it’s turning out to be a great skit. No details will be shared for now, sorry. /gg
Girls
And of course, who else will be my choice of Girl for the Week? It is none other than the beautiful battle maiden herself, Lenneth Valkyrie. “Nibelung Valesti!”

See you all next post!
