Hello everyone, it’s good to be back here again after some two weeks blogging hiatus. So many things happened while I was away, and I couldn’t even blog about it. So I’m just compiling everything in my Weekly Update #2.
Music
First off, the past few weeks have been very productive. I was able to finish twelve original songs for the musical indie film “KOLORETE” directed by Ruelo Zendo and produced by CinemaOne Productions. For this project, I will be working closely with the cast of talented actresses and actors as I coach them with the execution of my songs.
Also, the Survivor Philippines crew of GMA 7 asked me to create an additional theme music for their upcoming show to be aired this September. It’s almost here!
Together with my band, Makiling, we’re currently in the middle of a series of shows with world-renowned prima ballerina Lisa Macuja and her group Ballet Manila. It’s called Halo Halo Supreme, it’s a celebration of Filipino culture put to modern dance and live music care of Makiling. There will still be some more shows this weekend from August 9-10 at the Aliw Theater beside Star City. If you’re interested to buy tickets and watch the show you may call Ballet Manila at (63 2) 400-0292 or (63 2) 525-5967

Lastly, Young Artists Productions, a theater arts group is staging the “Little Prince”, a musicale at the AFP Theater. All the music that will be used in this stage play has been arranged and orchestrated by me. Click here for more details!
I’m also receiving some bonus compensation for the extra work I did at my regular job as a ringtone arranger. Whew! Did I say it was a productive two weeks?
Gaming
Some of you might remember my post about not wanting to buy a Sony PSP because only a few good games appeal to me, and that I wasn’t currently in need of a multimedia device. Well guess what, I bought a black PSP slim! And guess how my co-Nintendo fanboys reacted:
Sir David: Traitor!
Mark: Kala ko ba galit ka sa PSP?
Anyway! As I was saying, I bought a PSP now because of a simple reason. It was a fight between an Ipod, Creative Zen M and PSP. I decided that the PSP is the most useful one for me. It has a sleek interface, a good sized screen for watching videos on the go, and… (wait for it) it plays games too! I’m currently hooked on watching House, M.D. season 3 on the go, and playing Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core in during idle moments. Oh and by the way, Animal Crossing: Wild World is my current game on the Nintendo DS.
I am so close to getting a Wii, probably within this month depends on the budget. But my youngest sister seems to be sympathetic about my pre-Wii excitement.
Am gonna drop by Level Up’s office again this Tuesday to sign some important papers. More on that on a later post.
Cosplay
My friends are encouraging me to prepare a new cosplay idea for the upcoming Cosplaymania!, a a major convention on October focused solely on Cosplay, organized by the team of Cosplay.ph. I want to join, I just hope my schedule permits it.
Girls
My girl of the week, is none other than that Final Fantasy VII leading lady, Tifa. This is one of the better fan art that I found on the net courtesy of www.tosibow.net.

And that’s a wrap! See you next time folks!
