One of my all time favorite bands is this almost-all girl band from Ireland. Sure, they wrote some of the most popular songs such as “Runaway” and “Breathless”. I’m not saying that I don’t like these songs, in fact, I love most of their songs, but there is something unique about The Corrs that made me really like them very much.
They are one of the few popular musicians out there who are really proud of their roots. And it shows in their instrumental compositions of Irish based tunes. I’m very fond of Irish traditional music especially when a fiddle is involved. Here’s a video of one of my favorite Corrs instrumentals, “Toss the Feathers”. Enjoy!
It’s been a while since we heard some new stuff from The Corrs. I’m pretty sure they’re cooking up something. Whatever it will be, I hope they include more instrumentals like these.
