Finally, after 2 months of preparation, we’ve finally finished our official contest entry for the Pringles U Pop contest. For those who do not know, Pringles U Pop is a songwriting AND music video contest open for all Filipinos. And the grand prize is a whopping 250,000 pesos in cash. Here’s our entry called Original Sa Puso Ko.

Concept
This song pays tribute to all the flavors of Pringles and to our favorite “Original” flavor. The concept of being the “original” flavor was used as a parallelism to an original lover, and this loosely makes up the narrative of the song.
Clayed
We played around with the idea of clay animation which was Edwin’s specialty. We made clay versions of ourselves to use on the video.
Pre-production
I collaborated with Edwin Guillermo for this stint. I’m a musician, he’s an animator and we are both from the award-winning Frost Jokers cosplay group.
The clay animation was done at Edwin’s studio while the live scenes were shot at my residence. We also asked our friend and cosplayer babe Hazy to join us for the music video as the “Flavor Girls” and “Original Girl”.
Anyway, the official deadline of the contest is February 3 as stated in their official website. Please vote for our song once the online and text voting period starts! I will keep you all posted! Cheers!
