A friend told me recently “Parang FHM na blog mo ah.” (”You’re blog’s like FHM already”) and I took this as a compliment of course! It’s not everyday that my blog gets compared to one of the world’s leading magazines. But what really gives an “FHM”-like quality to my blog? What lead to my friend and other readers to this FHM comparison. I contemplated and did some research on this to find out. I actually dissected and layed down the facts in bullet form. Now, what made FHM the magazine that it is today, and what similarities does The Master’s Den have with it?

FHM
• FHM uses pictures of sexy and attractive women models or celebrities to draw their customers.
• Aside from pictures, FHM also interviews the women that they feature.
• FHM also includes other articles that discuss mostly about gadgets and the entertainment business in general such as film reviews and music reviews.
• FHM features interviews with controversial and interesting personalities in politics and showbiz not necessarily female.

The Master’s Den
• The Master’s Den features cute and attractive female gamers and cosplayers to draw in the gaming community.
• The Master’s Den also interviews the featured female gamers and cosplayers.
• The Master’s Den features game guides and related articles about gaming and cosplaying. There are also film reviews and music reviews.
• The Master’s Den does interviews with interesting and controversial personalities in the world of gaming, and soon in cosplaying.

Well of course it’s not a perfect match! I was only discussing similarities. It will never be a perfect match because FHM caters to the general public while my blog caters to the gamers and cosplayers sector of the population. And one more thing, FHM has a pool of professional writers while I only blog as a hobby. But the similarities are there and will stay there for as long as my readers like it. Cheers!
