Hello world!
My name is Diwa, and I’m starting this new blog dedicated to home recording tips, and the journal of my life as a composer, songwriter, violinist, and musician. The old posts you see here are related topics taken from my old blog. But I’d like to consider this blog as a reboot of everything. I will make this blog as homogeneous as possible so as not to confuse you, the reader. Anyway, as I said I’m breaking down the topics that I will be discussing in this blog.
Home Recording - as a practitioner of home recording myself, I can offer practical tips on how to improve your own home studio without spending too much. Tips such as the right audio connectors and setting up your sound card will be discussed here.
Sound Mixing - I will offer some tips and tricks to make that midi guitar sound a little closer to being a real guitar. What is the difference of delay and reverb? How to digitally clean a noisy recording? It will all be discussed here step by step.
Actual Samples - since I’m a professional composer, I will mostly be using my own works as study material for my articles. The works I will be using will usually be the ones I recorded only at home.
Software & Hardware - Tools of the trade. I will tell you what you need to get a basic setup. And I’m telling you that is all you’ll ever need to start at once. Of course, expensive studios have more advantage, but what I’m saying is, you can still produce quality recordings at your own bedroom without being too luxurious.
There you have it. I am also open to comments, suggestions and criticisms. But just remember, flames and trashtalks will be automatically deleted. This is still my blog afterall. Later!
