Thank God it’s weekend again. I can make more blog entries while slacking off in my room. Hehe! Anyway, as promised, here comes another Gamer Girl. A multi-talented one at that. She’s a visual artist and violinist (learning, hehe!), but amidst all that, she’s also a passionate gamer. Let’s go and meet Gamer Girl Caroline.

What’s your main game? (the game you spent most of your time with)
Right now, Perfect World. But I’ll be playing Oblivion again soon. In the office I get to play Guitar Hero.

Real life occupation?
Game artist for Flipside Games. Pwede ba mag-plug? Go try out (and buy a copy of!) Hoyle Enchanted Puzzles. We provided about 90% of the art for that

Your proudest gaming moment?
Back in High School, none of the boys could beat me at the arcade racing game Outrunners.

Your other games? (other titles/game franchises that you like)
For consoles, I like most of the games from Squaresoft, my favorite being Vagrant Story. I also like the Suikoden series, but only up to the 3rd game. I’m also a big PC RPG fan, and somewhat old-school. I like the Quest for Glory series, Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, Fallout, and the like. I’m also a big fan of casual games like Bookworm, Fairy Godmother Tycoon and Insaniquarium. Right now, though, my favorite game is Guitar Hero.

Your best gaming asset? (your edge or advantage as a gamer)
I’m not sure if I have any advantage as a gamer as I don’t really spend a lot of time competing in games.

Favored genre? (RPG, shooter, platformer, action adventure, etc.)
I play RPGs mostly, but I play a variety of games in different genres as well. My least favorite would probably be sports games. I’d rather play the real sport (but I do love Wii Sports :D)

In an alternate universe where everyone is a gaming character, which videogame character are you? Why?
Not that I bear any resemblance whatsoever with the following characters, but if I had to choose which female game character I could be in an alternate universe, I would choose to be either Lara Croft or Jill Valentine. Lara Croft because I’ve always had a thing for archeology (blame Indiana Jones), and Jill Valentine because I like the whole zombie-movie genre crap. It was either her or Claire Redfield and let’s face it: she’s hotter. But I prefer Lara Croft. Or maybe Princess Zelda. I’ve always wanted to be a princess.
