It seems that Filipinos are getting more and more international attention for their raw talents. First we have HappySlip who become well known online for her witty Pinoy humor. Then we had Renaldo Lapuz who got his 15 minutes of fame because of his hilarious (in a good way) audition for American Idol.
Now we have singer Madonna Decena, a single mother who left her family in the Philippines to work as a club singer in the United Kingdom. Now she tests her talents and luck at the show “Britain’s Got Talent”. As she was getting interviewed onstage, I believe she already got the sympathy of the audience and the judges at once.
Her performance of Whitney Houston’s version of “I Will Always Love You” rocked the house! She got a standing ovation and enthusiastic cheers from the crowd. The judges passed her and now she’s in! I’m wishing Madonna the best of luck in Britain’s Got Talent as I’m sure she will go far. Watching the video gave me goosebumps.
