The well-endowed action heroine received a new face with the arrival of former British gymnast, Alison Carroll. She will be the live model of Lara Croft for the upcoming Tomb Raider game, said to be released by November. While I’m not really much of a Tomb Raider fan, I’m now definitely a Carroll fan. Rawrr!

Hello everyone, it’s good to be back here again after some two weeks blogging hiatus. So many things happened while I was away, and I couldn’t even blog about it. So I’m just compiling everything in my Weekly Update #2.
Music
First off, the past few weeks have been very productive. I was able to finish twelve original songs for the musical indie film “KOLORETE” directed by Ruelo Zendo and produced by CinemaOne Productions. For this project, I will be working closely with the cast of talented actresses and actors as I coach them with the execution of my songs.
Also, the Survivor Philippines crew of GMA 7 asked me to create an additional theme music for their upcoming show to be aired this September. It’s almost here!
Together with my band, Makiling, we’re currently in the middle of a series of shows with world-renowned prima ballerina Lisa Macuja and her group Ballet Manila. It’s called Halo Halo Supreme, it’s a celebration of Filipino culture put to modern dance and live music care of Makiling. There will still be some more shows this weekend from August 9-10 at the Aliw Theater beside Star City. If you’re interested to buy tickets and watch the show you may call Ballet Manila at (63 2) 400-0292 or (63 2) 525-5967

I have seen a lot of pretty cosplayer babes all over the internet (i.e. cosplay.ph) and even as I cosplay at local conventions. But I found myself literally stunned when I saw this Japanese cosplayer. It’s a given fact that she’s very pretty but not only that, her choice of cosplays fit her completely. It just fits her like a glove. So without further ado, here’s a gallery of cosplayer babe Arisa Mizuhara, taken from her website. There are lots of pictures at her website but here are my favorites. Apologies to those with low bandwidth but these are a lot of images! Enjoy!

I’d like to share to everyone that Level Up (LU, Philippine publisher of Ragnarok Online, Perfect World, RF Online etc.) has recently named me as one of their Game Heroes.
Game Heroes are (and I quote from LU’s site) “men and women who have immortalized themselves in the annals of history. They always walk with a purpose and they will never back down from a challenge. Courage is their shield and Passion is their weapon. They are mavens, leaders, legends… they are heroes.”

If you’ve seen the movie Blood Diamond starring Leonardo di Caprio and Jennifer Connely, you’ll understand this situation better.
This news is quite disturbing. Imagine, people enjoying their games on Playstation 2 at the comfort of their homes for the price of deaths in Africa. It is said that a rare metal called coltan is used for certain components of the Playstation 2. The primary source of Coltan is, you guessed it, Africa.
This idea just came through me as soon as I sat at my PC at home. Well the title says it all, starting today, I will be making a “Weekly Update” post as a summary of all my activities, encounters and thoughts on a weekly basis. Categorized in Master Diwa dot com style, Music, Gaming, Cosplay and Girls!
Music
Aside from arranging dozens of midi ringtones at my office, I recently finalized my gig at Survivor Philippines as I signed a contract at GMA 7 office. Officializing the Survivor Theme Music which I composed for GMA 7.
Also I did a small project for a friend of my father, a short medley for Broadway Songs. I actually had a bit of a challenge pulling this off because Broadway music isn’t really my cup of tea, but I did it anyway.
I’m also about to start composing the original soundtrack of “Kolorete” a film by my friend, Ruelo Zendo. This is a commissioned film by Ayala Cinema One. I will be writing all the music that will be used for this one hour and twenty minute film.

It seems that there’s no need for secrecy anymore. The actual location of the Survivor Philippines reality show has been revealed. It is Tarutao national park in Bangkok, Thailand.

Here’s an update as a follow up to my recent announcement. I’ve recently paid a visit at GMA 7 yesterday July 21 to sign a contract. The signing of this contract finalizes my status as the composer of the Survivor Philippines Theme. Survivor Philippines is a localized version of the international reality show franchise.
The Survivor franchise is said to be the biggest franchise GMA 7 has purchased so far. Not much detail is announced regarding the show. But I did overhear some info while working with the GMA 7 team. Of course I won’t be giving away the real surprise as it would professionally unethical.
The Clues
1. The contestants will be marooned on a remote island outside Philippine territory. - I’ve learned it is actually a rule of the franchise that the contestants must be situated out their country of origin for that foreign and unfamiliar territory.
2. Local actor Paolo Bediones will either be a host or a “Survivor” as well. The info is being circulated in local showbiz blogs including the official Survivor Philippines blog.
3. The Survivor GMA Team is currently shooting the contest and the show will air sometime in September 2008. All I can say is, they are staying at a nearby Asian country famous for spicy soup dishes.
There you go. As much as I’m very excited with sharing the Theme music I composed, I’m not yet allowed to broadcast it to everyone. So stay tuned!
After months of searching - I finally found the one for me.
Meet Red - my new life partner.

Yes. Red is my first real electric violin. Some weeks ago I started saving up to buy her when I saw the display at Lyric Music store in the local mall, Park Square 1. The design caught my attention immediately. I was getting tired of playing my old custom amplified Stradivarius copy violin. I wanted something new.
